Classic Patrick like "classic rock"

Day 61 - 64 (Wed,  Jan 11 – Sat, Jan 14, 2012): After breakfast, the wind really began to pick up. Chris Parker was right again. Patrick decided to test his dinghy skills in high wind and took the Craken over to the mega yacht marina (Rybovich). All I can say is that is just classic Patrick. He took 2 diesel cans with him to get them filled. Amongst mega yachts and towering ships, Patrick pulled up to the fuel dock with the Craken. He got the fuel, made a few new friends and headed back with the diesel. We put the Cracken back into her cradle for the remainder of the blustery day. Wed. evening we headed out to dinner with Rosie and Miki to a very nice restaurant. Everything was outside and tucked into a tropical setting. It is hard to explain but the tables, the serving areas, everything was situated outside in the rain forest. Reminded me of a dive lodge dining area.
On Thursday, Miki joined us for a short trip up to the other end of Lake Worth. We pulled into Old Port Cove Marina. A bit challenging for the backing procedure into the slip but Gaia managed to calm her usual marina friskiness and she backed nicely. Later that day, Rosie, her mother Aldona (87 years young) and Jovan joined us on Gaia for dinner and drinks. While the guys were out with the Craken, Aldona managed to get a very nice looking gentelman to whistle at her and another to wave. She is a hot number. Great evening!

On Friday, we found that our 5 minute hookup for the RO Water system would take a bit longer. Ughhh, another intuitive thingy. Patrick ended up working all day on the system and finally had to call it quits. He was not a happy camper. In the morning, we got started early and finally had to enlist the help of a company that installs the water makers. Even with the technician’s assistance, it took a couple of hours to troubleshoot the problem and fix it. Patrick had plummed the unit properly, had all of the electrical components working properly but the issue turned out to be... spense... air bubbles. Seems we can't get away from air bubbles/leaks. Chalk this up to a very, very poorly written instruction manual that had no mention of how to burp the system. All good in the end and we are 100% ready to go now. Chris Parker says that Tues or Wed of next week look good for the crossing and on top of that, the weather outlook for the remainder of Jan looks favorable. Few to no cold fronts. Yea…. We are really going.
